Skills / Requirements
St. Joseph's Medical Group is seeking a key member of our management team as an IT/EMR Project Manager. The project manager will primarily focus on system wide ambulatory EMR implementation over the next three years including oversight and implementation of the interfaces with the EMR and other existing applications. The project manager will represent SJMG's interests for other large, enterprise wide IT projects and serve as a technical resource for projects requiring technical expertise.

St. Joseph's Medical Group (SJMG) is the employed physician group of St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center located in Phoenix, Arizona. SJMG employs over 165 physicians and over 300 support staff that cover a wide variety of specialties. The medical group has had tremendous success over the past few years and now provides services to over 38 subspecialties. The physicians provide clinical services in their areas of specialty and many serve in pivotal teaching, research, and leadership roles.

The mission of St. Joseph's Medical Group is consistent with Catholic Healthcare West's mission and St. Joseph's guiding principles with a focus on innovative clinical care and pursuit of excellence through scholarly activities. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 5 yrs experience in IT Project Management
Minimum of 5 yrs experience managing large clinical, ambulatory and hospital application implementation projects
Extensive experience with ambulatory EMR/EHR implementations with large budgets
Experience with Allscripts EMR
Experience with the GE Centricity Platform (IDX, Logician, etc.)


REQUIRED SKILLS
Project Management -Demonstrated experience in development, maintenance, and completion of standard project management documents including, but not limited to project charters, scope documents, status reporting, project budgets including burn rate, project planning, issue tracking, risk mitigation planning, time tracking, change management, and communication planning.
Business processes development
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects
Ability to communicated and work with front line staff to Sr leadership
Working knowledge of HIPAA and PHI rules and regulations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
Strong business analysis
Strong business acumen
- good understanding of healthcare business and how IT supports business


EDUCATION
Bachelor in Computer Science or similar business or healthcare related degree.
PMI certification is a plus
