Skills / Requirements
JOIN US NOW as we are seeking a dynamic Supervisor of Medical Records within our Health Information Services Department. Moving towards electronic records and advancing with technology, our HIS Department is proud to offer a full spectrum of HIM services 24/7. Being part of a large academic facility offers an exceptional opportunity for constant learning and professional growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for the interviewing, hiring, training, disciplining, evaluating, promoting, and terminating assigned staff, approximately 50 FTE. This position will also work side-by-side with HIM management in trend analysis, problem identification and resolution, goal setting and achievement, and policy development. In addition, this position will provide written and verbal instructions in usage and technical information to manager and vendors regarding all departmental systems.

REQUIREMENTS:
Three years experience as RHIT with progressive responsibility or demonstrated supervisory experience that confirms the ability to communicate effectively with management, physicians, peers, subordinates and a thorough knowledge of JCAHO, OSHA and EEOC requirements. Five years of Strong Management experience preferred


EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:
AA/AS degree in Health Information Technology; RHIT and or RHIA required
