The Huger Mercy Living Center at St. Joseph's Hospital & Medical Center provides assisted living directed care for persons living with Alzheimer's and other dementia while respecting the inherent value and worth of each person. Staff provide a state-of-the-art innovative dementia care program in a homelike setting with around the clock care, following a social, activity-based model rather than a medical model. This restraint-free environment relies on behavior modification and provides activities from the beginning waking hours to bedtime. All activities of daily living, exercise, crafts, spirituality programs, art, music, baking, sweeping, gardening, and eating are structured activities. Falls are expected in this restraint-free dementia care environment, but staff take every precaution to keep the resident safe during that fall. This mission-based program strives to instill dignity and quality of life for each person despite the progressive impairment of dementia.

The Huger Mercy Living Center has designed its program to focus on risk reduction, wellness, and therapeutic activities that help keep memory, speech, and basic living skills functional as long as possible.

JOIN US NOW as we are seeking a dynamic Supervisor of Resident Care who, under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor, will assist with the day to day operations of the Huger Mercy Living Center, with a strong focus on patient care plans, staff education, and daily rounding.

REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma/GED, Arizona Certified Nurse Assistant License, dementia care training or certification by an Arizona Department of Health Services approved training program and one year experience working with Alzheimer or dementia patients and/or long-term care experience required. Experience in giving work direction to others, supervisory experience and LPN or RN preferred.

PLEASE NOTE: This awesome facility is located at 2345 W. Orangewood in Phoenix. Orangewood is located between Glendale and Northern Avenues.

This position is a day shift position position with a starting salary of $40,123 per year and weekends required. Salaries are set based on skills, experience and internal equity.
