Overview: Full-time varied shift pharmacy tech supervisor position available within Banner Good Samaritan pharmacy unit. Must have ability to multi-task and manage shifting priorities, maintain positive attitude in stressful situations; able to influence and manage entry level staff. Previous supervisory experience within a pharmacy unit is preferred. Responsibilities: This position is responsible for leading and overseeing the technical and supportive personnel of the Department of Pharmacy Services. Ensures the functions of the technical and supportive personnel are consistent with policy and procedures. Assist in planning, directing, monitoring and evaluating the provision of distributive pharmacy services to all patient care areas.

1. High School diploma or equivalent 2. 3 years experience as a Pharmacy Technician 3. Technician Certification prior to or by the end of the probation period 4. Previous supervisory experience is preferred 5. Knowledge of medication terminology 6. Knowledge of computer software, particularly pharmacy system software, Pyxis and Microsoft Office software 7. Training in compounding intravenous medications and sterile products preparation 8. Good mathematical skills 9. Effective written and verbal communication skills 10. Effective interpersonal skills 11. Effective telephone skills and courtesy 12. Effective organizational and problem solving skills
