Job: Senior Accountant (Yardi Genesis Exp)

This position has full responsibility for the preparation of monthly financial statements for a portfolio of commercial properties. Responsible for accurate processing of cash receipts such as rent (accounts receivable) and cash disbursements such as vendor payments (accounts payable) as well as other transactions. Ensures timely remittance of critical payments such as utilities, taxes and mortgages. Reports to Asset Manager.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Overall responsibility for the preparation of monthly reporting to clients, including cash basis financial statements, variance explanations, and other supplemental information as required. Prepares and provides management with supporting documentation for management statements.

Prepares monthly financial reporting package

Prepares Bank Reconciliation report.

Oversees accounting and analysis of Client portfolio�s

Oversee all bank related reporting for management

Manage the recording of lease, insurance, and other A/P entries

Responsible for month end close of all cash management, payroll wage and tax expenses, benefit allocations

Performs account reconciliation of all Client cash accounts

Performs analysis of balance sheet accounts

Assist in quarterly review and year end audit

Prepare operating expense statements and year-end reconciliations.

Assists in preparing annual budgets, annual audits and fiscal year-end close.

REQUIREMENTS

Yardi Genesis experience required.

Bachelors degree in Accounting preferred.

Accounting/real estate experience preferred, commercial property management.

Excellent analytical, mathematical and organizational skills required.

Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
