Job: Practical Radiology Technician or Radiology Technician

NextCare Urgent Care, one of the largest urgent care chains nationwide is looking for customer friendly Practical Radiology Technicians to help us continue to provide the exceptional service that has kept us in business for 20 years.

The ideal candidate for this position is someone who has at least a years worth of prior experience in the field, however if you are a newly licensed graduate with a great attitude we are willing to train. All candidates must be comfortable doing medical assisting skills in addition to x-rays such as: phlebotomy, drug screening and EKGs and most importantly, have EXCELLENT customer service skills. Though we prefer Practical Radiology Technicians we will accept applications for Radiology Technicians who are eager to learn and willing to complete medical assisting duties.

The Practical Radiology Technician or Radiology Technician will:
• Observe and communicate changes in the patient’s condition to the medical staff on duty.
• Perform patient assessments and provide basic patient care.
• Assists medical staff with exams, procedures and other processes related to direct patient care.
• Performs radiology duties within the scope of practice as stated in the Arizona Radiation Rules and Regulations.
• Places the patient into a room, obtains vital signs, records patient’s chief complaint, takes x-rays, performs EKGs and performs phlebotomy as directed.
• Administers medications
• Performs point of care testing and maintains certification for the collection of regulated and non-regulated drug screens.
• Cleans and prepare rooms between patients and at the end of shift to assure preparedness for receipt of patients.

Full-time shifts require flexibility working 2 days of 12 hour shifts half day on Friday and every other weekend (THAT INCLUDES BOTH SATURDAY AND SUNDAY FROM 8:00a.m. - 4:00p.m.)
