Jobing Description

Provide Controls production support and process improvement work for high volume manufacturing lines.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
*Provide production support for manufacturing lines from the cell controller down to the device level. Production support includes ensuring accurate traceability data collection, troubleshooting, scrap and LAT reduction, and improved process reliability.
*Implement process improvement initiative‚s that are moderate to complex in nature that can affect the immediate future needs of the business unit.

*VA/VE activities

*Project work using controls software.

*Vendor management and supervision.

*Create and maintain documents and/or databases. Such activities vary from clerical, to editorial, to creative; e.g. creation/revision of APQP documentation, MI, PI, SOP, maintenance of equipment configuration documents, etc.

*May provide work to clerical support or unskilled labor at the Clerk 2 to Clerk 3 level including temporarily assigned junior engineers and technicians.

*Customer Team Member: -Work with team members to resolve customer issues related to quality and design resolve issues relative to the process and equipment and implement the required changes to production lines.-Work with Design Engineering to implement changes due to product changes.

*Simultaneous Engineering Team Member:-Review and make recommendations to improve product design and processes, using various analytical methods and tools (Design for Assembly, Manufacturing and Experiments). -Work with the core team (Design, Quality, Supplier Quality and Packaging Engineering) on new product development and implementation.

*Approve design changes and verify these changes do not adversely affect the process.

Ability:
*Requires strong computer systems skills, incl. word processing and spreadsheet software, PLC and Human Machine Interface programming, programming of motion control systems.
*Excellent oral and written communication skills and organizational skills.

Experience:
Requires minimum of 3 - 5 years of related experience
Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens experience must.

German Speaking is a plus.
