Job Description:
The W. P. Carey School of Business Undergraduate Programs Office is seeking an energetic and self-motivated individual to work on its Admissions and Student Engagement teams at the Polytechnic campus in east Mesa. The Admissions team endeavors to create opportunities for new students to pursue studies in business through the use of information sessions, marketing plans, workshops and meetings with prospective students and their families. The Student Engagement team works to implement programming aimed at retention, leadership development, and engagement of W. P. Carey students. This coordinator will oversee all aspects of admissions strategies and the implementation of student engagement programs, serves as a champion for student involvement and engagement for W. P. Carey students at the ASU Polytechnic campus.

This position reports to and works closely with both the Tempe campus Admissions and Student Engagement teams to develop and execute a comprehensive plan for all W. P. Carey students that promote academic excellence, civic responsibility, and leadership both within and outside of the classroom. In addition, the position will support general ASU and W. P. Carey programming at the Polytechnic campus and provide support for large events including ASU Sun Devil Days, Camp Carey, Fall Welcome, Family Weekend, and Convocation. The position will require in-state travel and work hours will include some evenings and weekends.

Essential Duties:
Presents with enthusiasm and confidence at information sessions, education fairs, high school fairs, as well as conducts information meetings with prospective students and families
Provides valuable quality service to prospective undergraduate students (first-year, international, transfer) and families via recruitment events, one-on-one appointments, calls and emails regarding the W. P. Carey application and enrollment process
Works closely with Tempe campus and Polytechnic Orientation teams to manage the New Student Orientation programs
Develops, plans and markets events and programs for the Business Community (the residential community for first-year business students)
Facilitates WPC 101 courses and works directly with student facilitators to ensure curriculum standards; developing, marketing and implementing student leadership opportunities
Advises student business clubs and organizations
Plans events to recruit, engage and retain W. P. Carey students
Provides general support for large events including ASU Sun Devil Days, Camp Carey, Fall Welcome, Family Weekend, and Convocation

DAYS AND SCHEDULE:
8:00 AM to 5:00 PM; M-F; some evenings and weekends.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND three (3) years of related experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Desired Qualifications:
Evidence of a Master's degree in a related field preferred
Experience working with student recruitment and/or student development in a college/university environment
Experience developing and executing strategic marketing plans
Experience planning events, tracking programs to assess services and/or ensure successful outcomes
Ability to mentor and advise student groups to develop leadership and student success
Experience in using effective interpersonal and public speaking skills for both small and large groups
Demonstrated organizational skills, including attention to detail relating to programming, marketing and/or event coordination
Ability to professionally articulate verbal and written communications

Working Environment:
Communicate in writing, verbally, and visually to develop materials in various media and provide reports in various formats (electronic, hard-copy, etc.), in addition to coordinating and presenting information to groups of varied size and composition
Work with students, staff, faculty and university administrators in a higher education/university atmosphere, both one-on-one and in group/class settings, in-person and via phone and e-mail
Lift/transport approximately 30 pounds of promotional/marketing materials
Travel - While based on the Tempe campus, individual must be willing and able to travel to multiple campus locations in the Phoenix metropolitan area and to multiple-day events outside of the Phoenix area.
Utilize computer, phone, and various office equipment (fax, copier, etc.)
Utilize various forms of technology to communicate with students and alumni/corporate partners (including video conferencing and social media)
Work occasional extended hours, including evening and/or weekends, as needed
