REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in a technology related field and ten years’ experience in network structure design and implementation. Five years’ experience in leading and mentoring a team of network and desktop support professionals in primarily a virtual environment. Advanced knowledge of TCPIP, VLANs, QoS, MPLS and SNMP protocols and Voice Over IP (VOIP) and their interdependencies. Solid understanding of data processing, applications management, and project management. Ability to type 25 words per minute. Ability to read, write and speak in English. Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex technical procedures, maintenance contracts, and proposals. Ability to create and maintain detailed documentation of configuration, processes and procedures including appropriate flow charts and diagrams. Ability to speak effectively presenting information to groups of staff and management. Ability to write correspondence in response to AFCU business needs. Ability to communicate verbally both in person and on the telephone to governing board, senior leadership or end users.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Five years’ project management experience with a certification preferred. Preferred certifications in one or more of the following; Network+, Cisco CCNA, VMWare VCP, Microsoft MCSE or related certifications. Financial Services experience preferred.

OVERALL ACCOUNTABILITY:

Responsible for the overall performance and availability of the network and infrastructure. Leads the project management office which supports organizational wide project and process improvements as well as Information Technology related projects. Accountable for the successful implementation of tactical projects, technology plan and change management. Ensures network reliability, scalability, redundancy, security, and efficiency to support business needs. Assesses organizations current and future network needs and recommends changes within the infrastructure to meet those needs. Responsibility for operational management and support of network, SAN and server systems hardware, operating systems and associated management applications and infrastructure for the credit union. Leads the IT Help Desk and is responsible for the procurement, management, reconciliation and disposition of IT assets.  Responsible for device management including device standards, security, reconciliation of users to equipment on a regular basis, deployment and maintenance.  Ensures desktops and related software and patch versions are current based on internal policies.  Responsible for consistently high levels of service to our staff members within service level agreements for all desktop services inclusive of escalation procedures.

Effectively manage vendors for cost management and support of the infrastructure. Leads a team of network, project management, and desktop support professionals in supporting all related network functions including LAN/WAN/MAN hardware, software management technologies; Cisco, HP and software based routing protocols; Telecommunications connections and their interdependencies; Design, setup, configuration, monitoring, optimization of the SAN enterprise disk storage, VMware infrastructure and associated technologies and the Help Desk Functions. Monitors all aspects of network performance and ensures pro-active management of the network.  Ensures compliance with FFIEC network and security standards. Responsible for developing and implementing standards and discipline used in managing critical applications and network configurations including but not limited to servers, Active Directory, Storage, Exchange, Network Drives, and routing protocols.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger keys accurately when using calculator machines or computer keyboards; reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Must be able to travel independently to department and branch locations.
