  • Maintains safety, security and supervision of youth at all times, to include oversight and supervision of youths daily routines
  • Assists with admission and discharges of youth as per Agency policies under the direction and supervision of a Shift Supervisor
  • Administers Life Skills inventories and with the youth develops goals and objectives
  • Researches, plans, develops, implements and conducts social, educational/vocational, life skills, and recreational/physical fitness activities or programs for individuals and groups within the Home
  • Facilitates or co-leads with Agency Trainer group activities such as problem solving, goal planning, self-esteem, interpersonal skills, behavior management, etc.; prepares household activity calendar
  • Plans, organizes and supervises group outings/special functions
  • May coordinate vocational services and act as a job coach with case manager
  • Monitors youth behaviors and activities and completes all required and necessary daily documentation and reporting
  • Interacts with youth from a trauma informed perspective
  • Promotes and encourages youths’ educational and life skills’ goals and objectives
  • Administers and documents medications as prescribed on medication logs after completing Health Office Orientation training and only under the direct supervision of a Shift Supervisor
  • Transports clients to school, community activities, appointments, etc., as directed
  • Completes all Health and Safety requirements for food safety, facilities maintenance, and evacuation procedures
  • Fosters a positive and professional relationship with volunteers and guides volunteers in the care and activities of youth
  • Maintains certifications for CPI, First Aid, CPR, Food Handling and participates in regular Agency trainings, as directed
  • Completes reports as required; daily, weekly, monthly, as requested
  • Follows all Behavior management and protocols and procedures
  • Adheres to all Agency prescribed safety and emergency protocols
  • Assists in the preparation, documentation and serving of meals and snacks
  • Establishes and maintains positive and professional relationships with Agency staff, and outside Agency contacts
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Bachelor’s degree or actively pursuing higher education
  • Must possess at least 2 years of verifiable work history
  • Must have minimum 2 years’ experience supervising, nurturing / caring / meeting basic needs for children and/or adolescent youth within a behavioral health or similar setting
  • Must have valid Arizona Driver’s license, exhibit the ability to operate Agency vans and/or vehicles safely and have a clean 5 year motor vehicle history
  • Must be able to display verbal and written communication skills that meet the requirements of the position and needs of clients
  • Must maintain all Agency and licensing training and certification requirements as required
  • Must have computer knowledge / proficiency such that log notes can be entered as required
