Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Arizona (Phoenix) is looking for a Foster Care Recruitment Specialist. This position is responsible forplanning and implementing a variety of activities throughout the county to increase the number of Therapeutic Foster Care providers for the Child and Adult programs.
Recruitment: Conduct outreach activities to generate presentation and exhibit opportunities to civic, cultural, faith-based, educational, neighborhood, and affinity groups, including groups typically under-represented as therapeutic foster care providers; work with Devereux Foster Care staff members and volunteers to meet the demand for speakers and exhibitors.
Retention: Engage current therapeutic foster care providers in various areas of recruitment, including encouraging them to refer family and friends to Devereux as prospective providers; use that contact with current providers to assist with retention. Maintain relationships with public, volunteers, co-workers, current foster parents, and foster parent prospects to aide with retention.
Relationship Development: Deliver superior customer service through timely contact with those who exhibit interest in being licensed as a therapeutic foster care provider. Provide accurate information about being a therapeutic foster care provider and the requirements for becoming licensed by the State of Arizona. Serve as the point of contact for prospective therapeutic foster parents. Be open to working with diverse populations, non-traditional families (LGBT, single parent, etc.), and others underrepresented in the foster care provider systems; non-judgmental except as may pertain to characteristics and performance standards of successful foster parents.
Analysis and Quality Control: Ensure the high quality of licensed therapeutic foster care providers by assisting Foster Care staff in the assessment of license applicants, beginning with the initial contact and continuing through the transition of the applicants to licensing staff. Maintain records of individual therapeutic foster care provider prospects and data necessary to evaluate the efficacy of
each aspect of the recruitment plan. Analyze results and work with supervisor, foster care staff, and others to make necessary
adjustment to the recruitment strategy.
Available hours for this position are: Part-Time-Flexible and varied bit include weekends.

For consideration, you must have:
- Bachelors degree in Human Services related field.
- Work experience in non-profit public relations, sales, recruitment or outreach preferred.
- Work and/or volunteer experience in child welfare or social services highly preferred.
- A valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- You must be able to attend New Hire Orientation.
- Must be 21 years of age or older (per licensing standards)
- Valid Arizona Driver's License & pass DMV 39-month history check
- Current AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card with no restrictions (or eligibility to obtain with no restrictions)
- Pre-employment Physical and Job Demand Assessment
- Drug test within 24hrs of offer w/ negative results
